Jim Hopper
President & CEO

Key representative of industry views and interests before state legislative and regulatory agencies. Coordinates with officers, the board of directors and contract lobbyist. Serves as industry spokesperson and coordinates with National Restaurant Association on federal issues and events. Also serves as CEO of the Oklahoma Hotel & Lodging Association.

 
Debra Bailey
Deputy Director/Chief Financial Officer

Responsible for fiscal management of the association, directing staff activities, office operations, and communication with officers, directors, and contract lobbyist as needed. Also serves as CEO for the Oklahoma Travel Industry Association.  

 

 
Elizabeth "Bety" Balderas
Coordinator, Sonic/ServSafe®, and Registration

Maintains all records for Sonic ServSafe® classes and coordinates Alcohol Compliance Education “ACE” training classes. Manages event registration.
Jillian Bishop
Manager, Training & Accounting

Manages all ServSafe® sanitation training classes and other educational training opportunities. Also manages ORA’s accounts receivable.

 
Patti Colley
Chief Strategy Officer

Works with the President/CEO to communicate the association’s mission and strategies. Directs activities surrounding association meetings and events. Responsible for Strategic Partnerships and sponsorships, marketing collaborations, and community and industry relations. Also, serves as Chief Strategy Officer of the Oklahoma Hotel & Lodging Association. 

 
Linda Etherton
Director, Convention

Primary contact for exhibitors at the Oklahoma Restaurant Convention & Expo including convention booth sales and logistics. Also responsible for association graphic design projects. 

 
Collin Graham
Director, Membership

Primary contact for the industry as it relates to member enrollment, retention, research and discount program enrollment, as well as Alcohol Compliance Training and regulatory and operational research for members. Directs activities surrounding the development and management of membership preferred supplier programs.
Julia Jernigan
Contract Lobbyist
Represents industry issues at the state capitol and state agencies.
Theresa Martin
Manager, Meetings & Events

Primary member contact for event registration. Assists CSO in managing association meetings and events. 


 
Shannon Moad
Manager, Industry Communications

Initiates and manages all industry communications including Oklahoma Restaurateur magazine, À la Carte e-blasts, ORA Advisor newsletters, website, public relations, and advertising.

 
Chandy Rice
Director, Education & Student Programs

Directs the training and educational opportunities for members, including speaker/facilitator considerations. Also directs Oklahoma’s ProStart Program, a nationally recognized culinary and hospitality certification in high schools and technology centers within the state. Works to provide job placement and mentoring activities within the industry. Is the primary point of contact for activities involving the Oklahoma Hospitality Foundation.

 
Hannah Shillington
Help Desk Coordinator

Responsibilities include answering member phone calls, other miscellaneous communication, bookkeeping, and data entry.
Benny Vanatta
Contract Lobbyist

Represents industry issues at the state capitol and state agencies.

Director, Member Care

Directs member fulfillment including member and non-member databases, dues billings and collection, retention programs, and endorsed partner relations. Assists Director, Membership with state and local regulatory member inquiries.

This annual Fall event is the largest trade show in the state of Oklahoma and the most important event for foodservice, hospitality, and tourism industry professionals, featuring hundreds of exhibits, an opening night party, the ever-popular ORA Culinary Cook-off, the exciting ORA Cocktail Shakedown and over 6,000 industry attendees.

Hundreds of association members recently attended an informational session on the "New Alcohol Laws Coming your Way," presented by attorney Adam Marshall with Barrow & Grimm. The 2-hour session covered the details of the new law, which goes into effect October 1. Mr. Marshall kindly shared his presentation for those who were unable to attend.
